Ofr. Paris는 1996년 남매 알렉상드르(Alexandre)와 마리(Marie)가 파리 마레 지구에 설립한 독립 서점이자 갤러리입니다. 서점의 기능을 넘어, 출판사이자 갤러리, 크리에이티브 스튜디오로서 다양한 분야의 창작자들을 위한 영감을 주는 책을 만들어왔습니다.
예술, 패션, 건축, 음악 등 비주얼 컬처 전반에 기반을 두고 있으며, 세계 각지의 희귀 매거진을 유통하고 매년 100회 이상의 이벤트를 개최하고 있습니다.
이러한 정체성은 오늘날 서울 매장이 추구하는 방향의 근간이 되고 있습니다.
Founded in 1996 by siblings Alexandre and Marie in Le Marais, Paris, Ofr. Paris is an independent bookshop and gallery.
Beyond its role as a bookshop, Ofr. Paris operates as a publishing house, gallery, and creative studio, producing books that inspire creators across disciplines. Rooted in the visual language of art, fashion, architecture, and music, it distributes rare international magazines and hosts over 100 events annually. This identity remains the foundation that continues to shape the direction of our Seoul venue today.
2018년 문을 연 Ofr. Seoul은 “O franc(O 프랑)”이자 “Open, Free, Ready(열려 있고, 자유롭고, 준비된)”라는 의미를 담은 Ofr. Paris의 아날로그적 유산을 이어받아, 국제적인 아트북, 한정판 출판물, 그리고 자체 제작한 시그니처 패션 제품을 엄선해 소개하는 문화 공간으로 자리하고 있습니다.
국내외 아티스트 및 독립 출판사들과의 긴밀한 협업을 통해, Ofr. Seoul은 문화적 의미가 깊은 서울 서촌에서 책을 중심으로 한 창작 커뮤니티를 더욱 견고히 다져나가고자 합니다.
Opened in 2018, Ofr. Seoul carries forward the analog heritage of Ofr. Paris — standing for both “0 franc” and “Open, Free, Ready” — as a cultural space showcasing international art books, limited-edition publications, and in-house signature fashion products.
Through close collaboration with artists and independent publishers both in Korea and abroad, Ofr. Seoul continues to strengthen its book-centered creative community in Seochon, a neighborhood of deep cultural significance in Seoul.
